Research on Carbon Emissions of Road Traffic in Chengdu City Based on a LEAP Model

With the continuous increase in number of vehicles, proportion carbon emissions from road traffic cities has significantly increased, putting pressure on overall emission reduction The implementation low-carbon transportation has, therefore, become crucial to urban reductions. Based situation vehicles Chengdu, this study uses LEAP model construct a development scenario Chengdu 2020 2025. research focuses common greenhouse gases that contribute such as CO2, N2O, and CH4 motor vehicles. current policies being considered, we simulate evaluate energy consumption under two energy-saving scenarios: low (LC) strengthen (SLC). results show improve LC scenario, will peak before 2030 SLC scenario.
